Sundowner

May 26, 2010

The Namibian sunsets are the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen in my life. One of my favorite things to do is to go for a game drive on the CCF to see some of the amazing animals that live right around us. The best part of going for a game drive around sunset is that you get to see amazing wildlife while color bursts from the sunset sky. One of my favorite things to see is a big kudu bull. Kudu bulls are big male kudus with two long spiraled horns. If you’re lucky, you can see quite a few kudu on CCF’s reserve along with lots of other wildlife. There’s just so much to see!

One night, the whole CCF staff went out for a game drive and to watch the sunset. We usually call these “sundowner drives.” While we were out there, a few of my friends needed to make phone calls. In order to make the calls, they had to stand on top of our bus! I thought it looked really silly, but also very beautiful with the sunset in the background, so I took a quick picture so that I could remember the moment!!
